Comparison
A Captions alternative that makes the whole ad from your website
Captions, Mirage's app, is mostly for reworking creator videos: automatic subtitles, dubbing with lip-sync, cutting long videos into clips, plus AI actors or a digital twin of you. adkix starts elsewhere: from your website, your Instagram account or an idea, it directs a vertical ad of 15 s, 30 s or 1 min, with script, voice-over, shots and music included.
What Captions does well
Captions started as a mobile subtitle app, and that is still a strength: automatic captions in 100+ languages and 100+ caption templates on paid plans. The app is now a Mirage product; Mirage also offers creative tools for AI agents and APIs.
Around that, Captions added a lot of AI: AI Twin for a digital double of you, AI Creator for AI actors, AI Skits and AI Ads, translation and lip-synced dubbing (AI Translate, AI Lipdub), long video to clips, and generated B-roll, music and sound effects.
If you already film yourself and want to caption, translate or clip your videos from your phone, Captions is a better fit than adkix.
- You film yourself and want fast captions.
- You want to dub your videos into other languages.
- You want a digital twin of you that talks.
- You work mostly from your phone.
Why adkix when you have no footage to start with
Captions usually starts from a video, yours or an AI actor's. adkix starts from your brand. Paste your website address, your Instagram handle or a one-line idea: adkix reads the brand, suggests story angles and visual styles, draws a consistent cast and locations and writes the script.
Then it records the voice-over with ElevenLabs, films every shot with AI video models, adds music and word-by-word titles, and delivers a 9:16 MP4 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Every step can be reviewed and edited before you spend credits.
adkix does not caption a video you already have, does not translate it and does not make a digital twin of you.
